Gweru chanter Xiddo Chikandamina launches fifth album

GWERU-based Zimdancehall chanter Xiddo Chikandamina successfully launched his fifth album, drawing a large crowd of fans who braved the cold weather to attend the event at The Barn.

Born Forward Maphosa, the rising star unveiled Better Days, an eight-track album designed to inspire and remind listeners that there is always light at the end of the tunnel. The album features tracks, Hololo, Largest, Nedzoi, One Love, Better Days, Hosanna, KaThat, and Over. The project was produced by Flames and Cymplex.

The album launch marked a significant milestone in his musical journey, following his previous studio albums: Zviri Muropa, Agreement, Ziya Rangu, and Wedangwe.

Xiddo Chikandamina said this album is a pivotal moment in his career, encouraging people to maintain faith and hope for better days ahead.
“Better Days is my way of inspiring the youth and the general populace, reminding them that better days are coming. People should stop crying in despair and instead live with a positive mindset, knowing that there is light at the end of the tunnel,” said Xiddo Chikandamina.
The artiste reflected on his career: “I’ve made significant strides so far, collaborating with heavyweights like Jah Master and Ndunge Yut. I’ve also shared the stage with established artistes such as Bazooker, Enzo Ishall, Poptain, and more, and have performed at national events like galas.”
