GWERU-based female gospel artiste, Moreen Jeche is set to release her fourth, six track album titled Nyasha, which is expected to be out by the end of this month.In an interview Jeche said the album is a special dedication to her new-born baby, David Theophelous Jeche who came as a miracle after five years of trying.
“On this album I will be thanking God for remembering my marriage and thanking him on behalf of those, he has blessed with children. My child came as a miracle and I know there are many like me out there who received such a blessing after almost giving up. I dedicated this album to my son and I want him to grow up knowing he is a miracle baby,” she said.
Her music career began in 2000, when she released her debut album, Shasha, a six track album. The album talks of God being the champion in everyone’s life. Her songs are mostly danceable praise songs which have a rhumba flair.
In 2001, she recorded an album, Everything/Ndimi another six track album.
“All my albums speak of my personal experience. On Everything/Ndimi, I am thanking God for being everything in my life. He is there when I need him and I never lack in my life because he is everything to me,” she said.
She released another six track album titled Ndimi in 2010, which had the same meaning as her second album but with different songs.
Jeche said she has written and composed most of the songs on her albums and she derives inspiration from her personal life, as well as what she sees in the society.
“Female gospel artistes have to show the country that we are capable of matching the standard set by our male counterparts. We can write songs and hold good live shows, preaching the word of God, just like male artistes,” she said.
She said fans should look forward to good music from her as she ministers the word of God through music.
