GYAN HAS INSPIRED MILLIONS, SAYS PRESIDENT

PRESIDENT Mnangagwa has said former Ghanaian star, Asamoah Gyan inspired millions of people across Africa during his distinguished career as an iconic professional footballer.

Gyan is one of Africa’s biggest football legends.

He paid a courtesy call on President Mnangagwa at State House yesterday.

The former Black Stars forward, the star of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, was all smiles as he handed his iconic number 3 jersey to the President.

“It was an honour to receive Asamoah Gyan at State House today,” President Mnangagwa said.

“His remarkable career and leadership on the field have inspired millions across Africa.

“We discussed the power of sports in uniting nations and promoting youth development.”
