A WOMAN has told a court in Harare that an article, which appeared in this newspaper recently, was at the heart of a rift in her marriage.
Netsai Hasha said from the day Clarence Dzata came across that article, in which we carried a report of a man who had killed his wife over infidelity, there has been no peace in their house.
She claimed Clarence showed her the article and told her he could also do the same to her.
Netsai claimed he has repeatedly been assaulting her.
“The fight started when he showed me an article where a man killed his wife over infidelity issues.
“He showed me the article and said if someone can kill, he can also do the same.
“Sometimes, he threatens to stab me with a knife.
“I came across pictures of him with his girlfriend and he is threatening to kill me.
“He assaults me almost every day. He calls me a prostitute in front of my children.
“I am into buying and selling, he said that someone told him that when l go to South Africa it will be for prostitution.”
In response, Clarence denied the allegations and said that he loves his wife.
“I dispute that the article is causing a rift in our marriage. I want to stay with my family in peace.”
Harare magistrate Meenal Naratom granted Netsai a protection order.
