WE usually do quite well, as a country, when it’s something that is determined by an internet poll.

It’s something that Brunette Makanyiso knows very well and it’s something that she wants us to do all over again.

Miss World Zimbabwe 2026 has launched a passionate appeal for votes as the race for a place in the coveted Miss World Top 40 intensifies.

She has called on Zimbabweans at home and abroad to get behind her People’s Choice campaign.

With the competition entering a decisive phase in Vietnam, Brunette knows that every vote counts — and she is taking her message directly to the people.

“Hello Zimbabwe, hello World!” she told her fans.

Then came the big appeal.

“The journey to Top 40 began, and we can secure a spot through the People’s Choice voting.”

For Brunette, this is no longer simply about representing Zimbabwe on the international stage.

It is about getting an entire nation behind her.

 ‘NO VOTE IS TOO LITTLE’

The Zimbabwean queen has urged her supporters not to think that one vote is insignificant.

“Remember, no vote is too little. Together we can bring the crown home,” she said.

And her message has already begun circulating among fans, pageant followers and supporters who are sharing her voting appeal across social media.

The campaign has taken on a distinctly Zimbabwean feel, with supporters encouraging one another to vote, repost Brunette’s message and remind friends and family that the People’s Choice race could provide the queen with another route into the Top 40.

For many of her fans, the voting campaign is about more than pageantry.

It is about national pride.

 FANS ANSWER THE CALL

Supporters have been quick to rally behind Brunette, with social media becoming a mini campaign headquarters for the Zimbabwean queen.

One supporter posted: “This is our girl. Zimbabwe, let’s show her some love. Every vote counts!”

Another fan said: “We are behind you Brunette. Keep making Zimbabwe proud. The crown is coming home!”

A third supporter urged Zimbabweans not to wait until the final hours.

“Don’t say your vote won’t make a difference. If everyone votes, we can make a difference. Let’s push Brunette into the Top 40.”  The enthusiasm reflects the growing interest surrounding Zimbabwe’s representative as she continues her journey at the 75th Anniversary Miss World Festival in Vietnam.

HOW TO VOTE

Brunette has directed supporters to the official voting platforms, urging them to participate rather than simply cheer from the sidelines.

Votes can be cast through the Miss World voting website, while supporters can also download the Eventista application and follow the voting process.

Her appeal is simple: get involved.

For a country that has watched her journey unfold through the festival, the People’s Choice vote offers fans a chance to play an active role.

Brunette’s campaign comes after an action-packed Miss World experience in Vietnam.  The 75th Anniversary festival has brought together contestants from around the world for a series of challenges and activities designed to test their personality, talent, advocacy, communication skills and ability to connect with audiences.

Throughout the journey, Brunette has continued to showcase Zimbabwean culture and her personality on the international stage.

Now, however, she needs something that no challenge can provide on its own — the people’s vote.

And that is why her latest message is being treated almost like a national assignment.

‘LET’S BRING THE CROWN HOME’

For Brunette, the campaign is ultimately about collective effort.

She is not promising that one vote will magically guarantee victory.

Instead, she is asking Zimbabweans to do their part.  “Together we can bring the crown home,” she said.

That sentence has become the rallying cry.

And with fans already sharing her voting appeal, the pressure is now on Zimbabweans to turn social-media support into actual votes.

The queen has done her part on the international stage.  Now, she wants Zimbabwe to do her part from home.

Because when Brunette walks onto that Miss World stage, like Liverpool fans, she does not want to walk alone.

She wants to feel that an entire nation is standing behind her.
