ERLING HAALAND posted a picture of himself beaming just moments after Arsenal lost the Champions League final as he reopened old wounds with the Gunners.
The Manchester City striker has had several high-profile run-ins with Gunners defender Gabriel down the years.
Haaland threw a ball at the Brazilian in 2024, before Gabriel retaliated celebrating in the Norwegian’s face in the return fixture.
Just last month the pair went head-to-head as City beat Arsenal 2-1 at the Emirates.
Haaland also infamously told Mikel Arteta to “Stay Humble” two years ago.
Gabriel, 28, missed the crucial penalty as the Gunners were beaten 4-3 on spot kicks in Budapest.
Barely half an hour later, Haaland posted a selfie alongside three beaming friends, with the big striker smirking.
Fans loved the post, with one commenting: “Bro smiling after a successful hate watch”. And a second gleefully wrote: “The smile on his face is to remind those mfs to stay humble”.
A third posted a picture of Haaland holding the Champions League trophy alongside the Oasis lyric: “We see things they’ll never see”.
Another added: “Halaand staying humble after Gabriel missed a penalty is the highest level of trolling”.
Haaland was not the only rival star to revel in Arsenal’s defeat.
Djed Spence posted eyes and padlock unlocked emojis while quoting an Arsenal post from February, when the Gunners had mocked him during the North London derby.
Richarlison, meanwhile, posted a video of a crying baby beginning to laugh on Instagram.
The Brazilian, however, did have a message of encouragement for his Brazilian compatriot Gabriel.
Alongside a picture of the defender being consoled by Marquinhos, Richarlison wrote in Portuguese: “Lift your head, there’s a cup coming soon, and you’ll be lying down.” – Sun
