A man failed to convince the Harare Magistrates’ Courts yesterday that he had been rehabilitated after finding himself in the dock again.

Adam Chambwete (18), who is not a stranger in the criminal courts, was denied bail for a theft charge by magistrate Dennis Mangosi.

Prosecutor Grace Mugocheke said on February 24, Chambwete stole clothes from the unnamed complainant’s house, among them a black T-shirt and red short.

No one saw him stealing the clothes, but he was spotted wearing the black T-shirt and red short.

Police were called and Chambwete was arrested.

He was recently released on bail on another theft case.

He has three other pending cases of theft.
