Habitual thief jailed

magistrate Mr Lazarus Murendo.

Mr Murendo slapped him with a 10-month-jail term and brought into effect four months which were suspended on his previous conviction.

Prosecutor Mr Edmond Ndambakuwa proved that on March 22, at house number 18321, Kwaramba visited his neighbour Desire Neza (23) and asked for his Nokia X2 cellphone on the pretext that he wanted to buy a juice card to call someone.

After receiving the cellphone, he vanished and went on to sell it.
When Neza asked him about the cellphone, Kwaramba failed to account for it.
This prompted Neza to report the matter to the police leading to his arrest.
