Habitual thief nabbed

a local businessman.
Dudzai Bomba (39) of Waterfalls appeared before Harare Magistrate Mr Don Ndirowei charged with theft.
Prosecutor Ms Memory Chidavaenzi had opposed bail arguing that Bomba was a flight risk.
But the court ruled in favour of Bomba.
Mr Ndirowei remanded him out of custody to March 22 on US$50 bail.
The State alleges that between October last year and February this year and on several occasions Bomba would go to the businessman’s house (name not supplied).
It is alleged he would lie to Shupi Gororo, a tenant at that house, that the businessman would have sent him to collect Gestetner duplicating ink from the storeroom.
Bomba would be given the keys and it is alleged that within that period, he stole 2 385 tubes of the ink worth US$11 925, which he sold to different customers.
Upon his arrest on March 7, Bomba led police to the recovery of 580 tubes valued at US$2 900. – CR.
