Hakeem brews new hip hop single

FORMER Big Brother Africa (BBA) – The Chase housemate, Hakeem Munyaradzi Mandaza, who had put his music career on hold to train for bodybuilding competitions, says he will release his second hip hop single, “Stock in youths” later this month. The 24-year-old athlete who was in Kadoma last weekend for the Mr Ironman Zimbabwe Bodybuilding competition said the single would be a follow up to his debut single, “Gimme a Minute” which he released in 2013.

“I’ve been focusing on bodybuilding and this was my first competition ever since I left Big Brother. I’m passionate about music and whenever I’m free, I make sure I work on a track as a hobby,” Mandaza said. “Stock in youths was produced by Rehab Music Entertainment producer, Zanda and I’m hoping to release it in a week or two.”

He said he was now working on an album which he hopes to release before end of year. The former housemate who was a viewers’ favourite, especially among females of BBA said his fans would have an opportunity to witness him flaunt his body when he competes for the Mr Zimbabwe Bodybuilding contest next month.

The competition organised by the National Federation of Zimbabwe Body Building and Fitness (NFZBBF) has been slated for October 17 at the 7 Arts Theatre in Harare. Outgoing Mr Zimbabwe bodybuilding champion, Champion Chiendaramwano will hand over his title.

“I’m now looking forward to the Mr Zimbabwe contest next month. After that, I’d want to go regional and participate in competitions in South Africa and Botswana before going international,” said the 2013 Mr Harare.
