HIGHLANDERS into the break with a narrow 1-0 lead thanks to Marvin Sibanda’s goal inside the opening two minutes, but the visitors have made Bosso work hard for their advantage.
After the dream start, Highlanders struggled to take control of the contest, with Hunters growing into the game and enjoying some good spells of possession. The visitors have looked dangerous going forward and have repeatedly tested the Bosso defence.
Goalkeeper Aaron Ngwenya has been called into action on a number of occasions and has responded well, producing several saves to preserve Highlanders’ lead. One of the visitors’ best opportunities came from a free-kick just outside the penalty area, but Tadiwanashe Huni’s effort was comfortably gathered by the Highlanders shot-stopper.
While Bosso have the goal, Hunters may feel they have done enough to be level and will be encouraged by their first-half display. Highlanders, meanwhile, will be looking for a stronger second-half showing as they seek to turn their lead into three valuable points.
