HALF-TIME UPDATE: Bosso, Triangle go to halftime goalless

Highlanders 0-0 Triangle

THE two teams go into the break level in a first half defined by missed chances at both ends in this Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter.

Bosso started the brighter of the two sides and had an early penalty appeal turned down when Jordan Pedra was accused of handling the ball inside the box, but referee Prince Nyoni waved play on.

The hosts then showed flashes of attacking intent, with Isaac Ngoma producing one of the clearer openings, but the

Zambian forward failed to make clean contact with a Mongameli Tshuma cross in a promising position.

Highlanders were forced into an early change when Never Rauzhi was replaced by Shelton Moyo, who almost marked his arrival with an instant impact but dragged his effort wide.

Triangle grew into the game as the half progressed and carved out two decent opportunities. Nyasha Chintuli was first to waste a golden chance from close range, before Jordan Pedra failed to connect with a well-delivered ball from the right inside the box.

At the other end, Bosso captain Darlington Mukuli came close late in the half, but his effort from a tight angle flashed across goal without troubling the net.

It remains finely balanced at the break, with both sides leaving the pitch frustrated by their inability to convert promising openings.
