Happy to be back in action: Malajila

none of the predatory instincts that made him a feared forward on the domestic scene.
Malajila had last played for Dynamos when he got the solitary goal in their 1-0 win over Bantu Rovers in a league match at Rufaro on June 13, 2010 before he left for Club Africain in Tunisia.

The Tunisians later loaned him to Libyan side Al Akhadar where he endured an unforgettable stay as he was forced to flee from the civil unrest in the North African country.
He had been training with Dynamos all along as he awaited for his reverse International Transfer Clearance which was issued on Thursday afternoon.
Malajila, a trusted gunslinger who also led the line of at Chapungu and Highlanders, wasted no time in settling into the Glamour Boys side and opened his Castle Lager Premiership account when drawing Dynamos level after Shooting Stars had taken a surprise lead.

DeMbare then turned on the power to romp to a 4-1 win and many of the Harare giants faithful are now fancying their team’s chances of a consistent run, given that they now have a regular scorer in Malajila.
Although he was happy to score on his return the Warriors striker yesterday refused to take credit for Dynamos big victory.

“It was just a coincidence that I returned to Dynamos and the team started winning.
“That was a pure coincidence given that I also managed to score on my return.
“In fact, I had given myself three to four games before I could start getting goals but then I scored earlier,” said Malajila.

Malajila said he had given himself a target of four games to work on his competitive match fitness before he could quench his hunger for goals.
“I have not been playing for six months and I want the first games to help build my fitness levels,” Malajila said.
The Wild Boys, took the lead when James Chitereki scored in the 20th minute before the returning Malajila evened the scores six minutes later.

Dynamos added more goals through Martin Vengesayi, Roderick Mutuma and Murape Murape.
The 4-1 win was a double welcome boost for new coach Callisto Pasuwa and striker Malajila.
“The goal was good for me and more importantly the result was just good for the whole team.

“I think we should continue working as a team to achieve positive results,” Malajila said.
The coming in of Malajila is also expected to ease the pressure on rookies Mutuma, Patrick Khumbula and Vengesayi who have no been scoring with the regularity needed for Dynamos to keep pace

with the Premiership chasing pack.
And just like injury-prone midfielder Wonder Sithole who marked his comeback story at Dynamos with a goal, Malajila believes his strike against the Wild Boys will motivate him to worker harder.
Sithole, who had last played for DeMbare in November last year fired a beauty that helped the Harare giants squeeze a 1-1 draw with Black Mambas two weeks ago.

“As a player, my wish is to work hard and hopefully play for the national team again,” said Malajila.
Crucially for Pasuwa and Dynamos however was the fact that the emphatic victory over Shooting Stars moved them into third place on the log.

They are now seven points behind joint leaders FC Platinum and Motor Action.
FC Platinum dropped two precious points when they were held to a 0-0 draw by Zimbabwe Saints at Barbourfields on Sunday.

It was Ephraim Chawanda’s first point since the former Warriors skipper took over as Chikwata coach.
The draw will also boost Saints’ confidence ahead of their visit to on fire Gunners at Lafarge this weekend.

Moneybags FC Platinum will now face a defining moment in their contention for the championship as they are expected to meet Highlanders in a rescheduled fixture at Barbourfields tomorrow.
FC Platinum’s scheduled Week 21 tie against Motor Action also promises to be a thriller.

Motor Action were the biggest beneficiary of FC Platinum’s draw as they caught up on 40 points although the Zvishavane side have the outstanding game.
Gunners also continued with their fine form under Moses Chunga as they chalked up a 2-1 victory over Luke Masomere’s Shabanie Mine.

But the biggest celebrations were felt at CAPS United who finally remembered how to win after more than six games without a win.
Lloyd Chitembwe led CAPS United to a 2-0 win over Kiglon who are now under Maxwell Takaendesa Jongwe.
Chitembwe replaced Jongwe as coach at CAPS United last week.
