A Harare couple has won the US$50 000 Africa Lotto prize. Goodman Muzanenhamo of Msasa Park said his wife Christina was washing dishes when he told her that they had landed a big lotto prize.“My wife was ecstatic about the win. She just left everything she was doing and leapt with joy,” he said after the couple received a US$50 000 cheque  yesterday.

“It came as a huge surprise for us.”
The couple spent about US$10 to bet for the lotto prize.

“We are regular lotto players, but this time I was motivated by my wife. I am glad today that we have won the prize,” Mr Muzanenhamo said.
“We hope this money will help us realise our dreams.”

The couple said they would continue to play the lotto so that they could win a bigger prize.
“Now that we have had our chance at winning we are going to invest the money into some projects,” Mr Muzanenhamo said.
