Division A had seen Matabeleland, who came second, and the hosts Midlands, going through to the finals after the first 36 holes. In the end, Matabeleland finished on 11 points while the hosts managed two.
The B Division had the Mashonaland team of Connie Mashiri, Priscilla Makurumure, Loice Chandavengerwa and Regina Munyaradzi getting the better of the President’s Select and Manicaland. 24 female golfers took to the field in the annual national tournament, which was sponsored by National Eye Security.
Light rains, which hit the Midlands province in the in the afternoon, failed to dampen the golfers’ enthusiasm.
