The Harare Metropolitan Provincial Development Dialogue has kicked off at Heritage Village in Harare, as the province charts a path to socio-economic transformation.
The dialogue is being hosted by the National Economic Consultative Forum (NECF) in collaboration with the Office of the President and Cabinet.

Running under the theme “Towards Inclusive Socio-Economic Transformation, Leaving No One and No Place Behind,” the dialogue aims to unlock the province’s full potential and contribute to national development.
The Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Harare Metropolitan Province, Senator Charles Tavengwa, is the guest of honour.
Other top officials expected to present include the Deputy Chief Secretary in the Office of the President and Cabinet, and NECF Steering Committee Co-Chairperson, Mr Willard Manungo; Presidential Affairs and Devolution Permanent Secretary, Engineer Tafadzwa Muguti; and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works, Dr John Basera.
The dialogue has drawn representatives from all four local authorities in Harare Metropolitan Province, the business community, officials from the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development, as well as the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, among others.
