Police have acquired 10 motorcycles for use by traffic officers to tame the jungle in the Harare central business district.

The motorcycles will be used to bring to book all traffic offenders. National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi has since urged motorists to obey traffic rules and regulations.

“The ZRP has intensified traffic enforcement duties in Harare CBD through the release of 10 motorcycles by the Commissioner-General of Police, Stephen Mutamba,” he said.

“These motorbikes will assist the Police to deal with traffic chaos, lawlessness and unruly conduct in the CBD and all roads which lead into Harare.

“Zimbabweans are urged to report errant motorists, whether private or public service, who exhibit dangerous driving conduct, for the law to take its course.”
