HARARE Province Division Two Soccer League will host their annual meeting, in anticipation of football resumption, in the capital, tomorrow.
Robert Tembo, the regional chairman, said they wanted to map the way forward for the league.
“We are calling on all affiliated clubs to have a representative at the meeting,’’ he said. “The annual meeting is expected to be graced by, at least, 40 representatives, from each club.
“Our agenda will be to interact with our affiliates, as well as map the way forward, on how best can we convince the responsible authorities that we are able, and ready, for the resumption of the sport.
“The major issue is to propose some Covid-19 liaison officers, who will help us to encourage the technical team and players, to get vaccinated so that we can safely start the season.’’
Tembo, said they were not yet ready to have spectators at the stadia but will recommend clubs to opt for secure venues, so that there will not be any disruptions.
“We also expect to encourage teams to choose some venues, which have tight security, so that we will not have some problems, with supporters.
“We had some plans before the pandemic but we need to brief each other on how we can survive in these trying times,’’ said Tembo.
