HOSTS Harare Sports Club will miss the services of Kudakwashe Chisepo and Shingai Mpofu in their clash against Police in a Northern Super Rugby League fixture today. Sports Club coach, Daniel Hondo, said they were ready for the encounter. “We have been working hard for the encounter, the game will be just like any other match but we will take it seriously.
“We are going to miss Chisepo, who excused himself as he is preparing for his weeding, and I believe his replacement will the job.
“Also out will be Shingai Mpofu who is injured and he has been missing out in the past three weeks but we are hopeful that the rest of the team will perform accordingly,” Hondo said.
Harare Sports Club are in second place behind Old Hararians on the table.
Police, the underdogs, have won two and lost six matches.
Old Georgians are confident they will beat the Old Boys.
OG’s utility player Fortune Chipendu was confident of victory.
“We have been doing very well in all the matches this season and I am confident that we are going to win.
“It is obviously going to be an exciting match,” said Chipendu.
Old Georgians are currently on the third place after accumulating 30 points.
The Old Boys fly-half, Tichafara Makwanya, believes they have the arsenal to do well.
“We started the first round of this season on a poor note but we improved with each game we played.
“The only thing which we needed to do was to be focused and work on the mistakes we made in our two defeats, we did that and now we have been doing well.
“When we got a win against Sports Club it gave us confidence that we were heading in the right direction.”
