A HARARE man won a protection order against his child’s mother, after she embarrassed him at his workplace, owing to her dissatisfaction with the custody ruling, which was made in his favour.

Willies Mackie sued Brenda Mpofu at the Harare Civil Court yesterday. He told the court that she insulted him and his wife and also went to his workplace causing a scene and embarrassed him on Thursday last week.

“She came to my work place and started being violent, embarrassing me because she was not happy about the outcome of the custody case she had applied for that same day”, he said

In response, Brenda said “I only went there to ask his boss for his payslip because he had presented a fake one during the custody hearing.

“I was not violent I only waited by the reception waiting for his boss. He is the one who comes to my house at midnight claiming he wants to see the child.”

Presiding magistrate Johanna Mukwesha ordered Brenda to stop insulting or going to Willis’ workplace.
