Hardbody celebrate title despite pending appeal

Their appeal which they submitted last Friday suspends the initial punishment meaning in match tallies the busmen won it on the closing day but their promotion fate can only be confirmed after all pending case are concluded.
The disturbances in the Central Soccer League dominated Friday’s board meeting and the special council meeting on Saturday with threats of suspensions against board members and councillors.

However, this did not stop celebrations at Gweru Sports Club on Saturday.
Hardbody chairman, Patrick Chikwanda confirmed celebrations.
“We celebrated winning the title as a team at Gweru Sports Club after the match and the pending case could not deter our celebrations. The boys deserved the celebration and we are confident we will the appeal.

“The celebrations could have been bigger had it not been of this uncertainty brought about by the cases. I can confirm we have  started looking for players to beef up the squad as we do not want to be caught ,unawares,” said Chikwanda.
Tripple B remained in second place with 68 points after a 1-0 win over Silo United at Dulibadzimu Stadium.
League’s top goal scorer, Calisto Maheya, grabbed his 21st goal which automatically becomes the new high tally by an individual player.

Elsewhere, Chapungu which is eagerly awaiting on the wings should both Tripple B and Hardbody be punished, ended the season on 56 points after a 7-0 win over hapless Gweru Pirates while Zimalloys beat FC Glow Petroleum 2-1.
