Harris Music Fest unveils date for next edition

Organisers of the Harris Music Festival, which staged a successful April edition as part of entertainment offerings on the final day of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), have announced dates for its next instalment.

The event, formerly known as Bulawayo Shutdown, will return on December 5 at a venue yet to be confirmed.

The oversubscribed April edition provided a fitting finale to the week-long ZITF programme. Held at the Bulawayo Athletic Club on a Saturday, the event featured a vibrant mix of local and regional artistes who delivered a night celebrating music and cultural diversity.

Headlined by Winky D and Makhadzi, the show became the talk of the city, with anticipation already building for the December return.

“A huge thank you to everyone who came through for the Harris Music Festival on the 25th of April. We appreciate you more than you know! Let’s do it again in December, bigger and better,” said event organisers.

It remains to be seen whether the December edition will once again feature multiple acts from South Africa, as was the case in April.
