Music that knows no bounds bringing different generations together to enjoy the beauty of life.

Attending any of his concerts will demonstrate the power of superstar quality workmanship as song after song everyone will not be left out — then comes a song “Rova Ngoma Mutavara”.

This song was produced a long long time ago but hey till today it has remains a favourite for many and a party lighter.
My understanding is that only God is omniscient, in a special way Oliver Mtukudzi’s presence has been felt all over the world through his musical performances and it cannot be debated that at 60 we come together and celebrate a proudly Zimbabwean music brand and ambassador.

As you go down memory lane and listen closely to his works, one thing that stands out is his original vocal prowess as it never sounded pimped or artificial.
He never tried to sing outside his element but rather sang and maximised on his ability.
Who can you compare him to, or who can you say he tried to be like. As the bash kicks in this weekend I want to take this grand opportunity to recognise, appreciate and salute our one and only Sekuru, Mudhara Tuku.

God bless you for the melodious harmonies, the lyrics, the beats the basslines. Zvenyu zwakabhadhara mudhara.
An old English adage says “It’s not how you start but how you end”.
Talking about Tuku’s journey, it shows that determination and belief in oneself combined with real talent will pay off in the long run.
Passion and talent can get you far.

Unlike many musicians who have come and fizzled out in a short space of time, he has remained committed to the call and is a perfect role model in terms of following a career in the music business.

Well, the big question then is what honour do we give such icons while they still smile?
