Have a Swagnificent Christmas!!!

Santa Claus coming to town with the Mayor switching on the Christmas lights in Africa Unity Square in front of hundreds of people including children.

It’s only three days before we celebrate Christmas and already there is a lot of travelling and merry-making as people visit their relatives in various parts of the country.
Christmas should be celebrated in peace and in God’s love.

Some of the customs of Christmas predate the birth of Jesus Christ and Christmas in our day is a collection of tradition and practices taken from many cultures.

Indeed, the festive season is for sharing, love and unity. To some it is also a time where you usually get what you want either as a gift or buying it for yourself.

Some teens were of the opinion that it is not only about swag but it is also good to take it to the roots.
“Our Christmas this year is going to be different. We are going to the rural areas tomorrow (Sunday).

One thing I like about this time of the year is that the whole family will be there and this is the time we learn how to slaughter beasts and do all the things that we don’t do when we’re in the city.

“We bought long skirts since we’ll not be wearing skinny jeans or tights. I am looking forward for such an experience. This is all I want for Christmas,” said Tatenda Murove from Mabelreign .

A survey conducted by Cool Lifestyle on “All I want for Christmas” revealed that many teenagers want time to spend the festive season with  their families.

“Christmas time is the best holiday ever. I want to be with my family at home. I am going to prepare dinner together with my sisters. Fortunately, the day also serves as my grandmother’s birthday, so there will be double celebrations as she is coming to our house and I have bought her a present with my pocket money,” said Theresa Mpindu (13) from Helensvale. Theresa urged her peers to enjoy the holidays and also take this time to take stock of 2012 and plan for the New Year.

Meanwhile, Cool Lifestyle wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy Swag New Year.
Please stay safe and remember that COOL TEENS always do the right thing.
