Association of Zimbabwe is set to stage the third Zimbabwe Junior Series in Harare next month in a move that seeks to promote the development of the sport from the grassroots.
The series is due to take place from August 8 to 11 at St John’s Astro Turf.
Zimbabwe will be joined by Namibia and Zambia for the tournament.
It will feature Under-13, Under-16 and Under-18 boys’ and girls’ teams.
HAZ first held the development series in 2022 with Zambia focusing on the junior teams.
Last year they included the seniors’ sides that were preparing for the Olympic qualification competitions held in South Africa.
The tournament featured Zambia again.
For the upcoming event, they have also engaged Namibia.
The series seeks to improve the teams at various levels by exposing them to more competition.
