HCCL Holdings mourns long-serving employee

HWANGE Colliery Company Limited (HCCL) is mourning the death of its long-serving employee, Ms Ketiwe Musendo, who died on Sunday aged 59.

Ms Musendo, who served as personal assistant to the HCCL Holdings Senior Human Capital Manager, died on August 9, 2026.

In a condolence message HCCL said Ms Musendo joined the organisation in 1986 as a clerk typist and dedicated 40 years of service to the company.

She was described as a warm and kind person who left an indelible mark on colleagues and everyone she worked with during her long career.

“HCCL Holdings Administrator Mr Munashe Shava, management and staff mourn the passing of Ketiwe Musendo, Personal Assistant to the HCCL Holdings Senior Human Capital Manager,” read the statement.

“She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, love and the indelible mark she left on everyone she worked with and encountered.”

The company extended its condolences to Ms Musendo’s family, relatives, friends and colleagues during the difficult period.

She was born on June 22, 1967.
