The cup will be crucial for other teams to stamp their authority as they seek to end JCC and Mt Hope dominance.
Chairman of the HCSL Derrick Mawire said the league is excited about the cup games and looking forward to them.
“As a league we are excited about this cup. It comes at a time crucial for our teams after end of the league.
“It is giving those who didn’t manage to perform well in the league a chance to redeem themselves.
“We are grateful to our sponsors who have put in good money prizes and have stood with us.
“Our priority is to preach the gospel of Christ to the youths through interaction in football.
“The teams are helping a lot the boys against drug abuse and a lot of vices as well as shielding them from criminal activities.
“So as the league we are grateful to have people who come along the way and give us a hand with sponsorship.
