A CHITUNGWIZA woman left court dejected after a protection order application against her husband was thrown out.
Shuvirai Murara applied for a protection order against her husband, Takura Masavi at the Harare Civil Court, saying she had known no peace since they got married five years ago.
But magistrate Tamara Chibindi dismissed the application.
“I want him to stop insulting me and calling me a prostitute. He insults me using obscenities in front of our children, and even in public anotoita kundishura chaiko.
“Last month he assaulted me using a steel bar haatotye ngozi murume uyu,” she claimed.
Howver, Takura disputed her account.
“Your Worship, my wife is a liar, as I never raised a hand on her. The only issue is that she doesn’t want me to reprimand her as her husband. She always provokes me, but I remain quiet.
“I want her to show the court evidence that I harass her or to produce a police report or show any scar on her,” said Takura.
