He disappeared with $1,3m for airtime vouchers, now he’s in court

A HARARE man has been nabbed after he allegedly disappeared with money meant to buy airtime vouchers worth $1 300 000.

Langton Chikunda was remanded in custody when he appeared before Harare magistrate Yeukai Dzuda charged with theft.

It is the State’s case that on July 29, Cainos Chigede gave his bank card to Chikunda to buy bulk airtime vouchers from the Pick n Pay Kamfinsa branch. 

Chikunda allegedly disappeared and Chigede reported him to the police, leading to his arrest.
