‘He forces me to have sex the whole night’

A HOPLEY woman appeared before the Harare Civil Court with tears in her eyes claiming her husband abuses her by forcing her to have sex with him the whole night.

Margret Chingare said her husband, Itai Zichengwa has turned her life into a nightmare.

Magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted the application in her favour.

“He is my husband but he treats me like an outsider. He assaults me and insults me every time I inquire about his girlfriends.

“He forces me to have sexual intercourse with him the whole night and beats me all night.

“He also assaults our grandchild for no reason,” she said.

In defence, Zichengwa denied all the allegations.

“I do not assault her but she is the one who assaults me. Take a look at my hands. I have injuries.

“She has been refusing to provide me with my conjugal needs saying I should marry another wife who is not barren,” he said.
