Man injured during bar brawl

A CHITUNGWIZA man is still nursing the wounds he sustained on his face after he was stabbed with a beer bottle during a beer binge.

Walter Tekwani (18), was assaulted by Pride Machivangu last week, using a beer bottle, and the matter was reported at Beatrice Police Station under RRB 5444168.

Walter confirmed the incident:

“I reported the matter to the police after I received medical attention at a local clinic and I was stitched on my mouth.

“I was assaulted several times on my mouth with a bottle for unknown reasons by Pride.

“However, people are insisting that Pride assaulted me because my associates were buying beer for me.

“I was not drunk, I am still in pain and it is worsened by seeing that person walking freely.”

One of the eyewitnesses said.

“It’s not the first time that Pride has recklessly attacked other revellers.

“Aiwa tanzwa hedu nemurume uyu arikukonzeresa veduwe we need peace within our community.”
