A HARARE woman claims her husband beats her up each time he misplaces his belongings.

Nomatter Chitangu yesterday applied for a protection order against Kelvin Murusikwa citing verbal and physical abuse.

Magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted the protection order.

Nomatter said Kelvin was making her life miserable.

“He is a drug addict, violent and abusive man.

“He threatened me with a knife and the last time he misplaced his things, he threatened me with death.

“Our 13-year-old child reported him to the police and when he came back, he beat up both of us,”  she said.

“I once told him I am no longer interested in this relationship and he should move out, but he refused saying it’s his mother-in-law’s house. “He even steals my money to buy mutoriro.”

Kelvin was not in court and the protection order was granted in default.
