‘He wants to expose my secrets’

A MBARE man hauled his former friend to court accusing him of verbal and physical abuse.

Press Chikanga told the court that Leonard Kagunduru threatens him weekly and takes his property without permission.

“He is threatening to expose my secrets, I confided in him when we were friends and he insults me week in and week out I no longer have peace.

“Sometimes, he takes my school property in Mbare without my consent and I told him that I will report to the police if he keeps on taking my stuff, “ he said.

In his defence, Kagunduru said he only took the property after they had a mutual agreement.

“Why didn’t he report me to the police when I took the property without his consent, he is just being dramatic.

“I never threatened him, rather he is seeking a protection order to avoid paying the money he owes me, little does he know it won’t change anything, “ he said.

The two exchanged words in court accusing each other of betrayal.

Presiding Magistrate Tamara Chibindi dismissed the application due to lack of merit.
