HONDE VALLEY will be the place to be tomorrow as the NetOne Albun Honde Valley Marathon sets the stage, not just for athletic glory, but for one of the most vibrant entertainment takeovers the scenic valley has seen this year.
While the morning will belong to athletes pacing through the lush, mountain-wrapped routes, the afternoon and night have been reserved for pure, unfiltered music magic as some of Zimbabwe’s hottest artistes prepare to turn the Valley Lodge Leisure Centre into an explosive entertainment arena.
The after-party, which has fast become the heartbeat of the marathon weekend, boasts a glittering line-up that will make any music lover’s pulse quicken.
Fans are already buzzing about the arrival of Zimbabwe’s Afro-soul enchantress, Feli Nandi, the unstoppable hit-maker, Nutty O, lyrical craftsman, Tocky Vibes, electric performer, Jah Signal and rising firebrand, Black Diva.
Feli Nandi, whose rise has been nothing short of meteoric, is expected to mesmerise the audience with her angelic vocals and heartfelt delivery.
Known for tracks like “Mubayei”, “Munhu Wangu”, “Makandivhikira”, “Murume Mutema” and “Nguva”, Feli brings a unique brand of musical warmth that resonates deeply with fans.
Her performances have a spiritual calmness, the kind that wraps an audience in emotion — and many are expecting nothing less than a show-stopping set from the Afro-soul gem.
Then comes the fireball, Nutty O, a man who has dominated Zimbabwe’s music waves with his blockbuster hit released a few months ago, “Too Much”, a song many have boldly labelled the anthem of the year.
The (Ability Extension) ABX leader is known for his electrifying fusion of dancehall, Afrobeats and reggae influences, reinforced by hits like “Handipere Power”, “Chigumbu”, “Concern Concern” and “Healer”.
His presence alone guarantees a high-energy atmosphere, and fans are eagerly waiting for that moment when he steps on stage and sends the crowd into a frenzy.
Adding lyrical depth and melodic brilliance to the mix is Tocky Vibes, an artiste who has mastered the art of storytelling through music.
His performances often feel like emotional conversations with his audience, blending social commentary with unmistakable vocal stylings.
Tocky has built a reputation as one of the most versatile performers on the scene, and his presence at the after-party adds artistic richness to an already impressive roster.
But if there is one artiste known for turning any event into a wild celebration, it is Jah Signal.
His energetic choreography, crowd-pleasing antics, and catalogue of hits — including “Jaya”, “Tsime”, “Wairevei” and “Stonyeni” —make him one of Zimbabwe’s most electric stage performers.
When Jah Signal performs, people dance. When he interacts with fans, they scream. And when he throws his signature moves, the whole venue comes alive. He is the type of entertainer who transforms a stage into a playground, and fans know they are in for a treat.
The rising voice of Black Diva will add youthful vibrancy and vocal power to the night, ensuring fresh energy and diverse soundscapes for fans to enjoy.
While the entertainment menu is undeniably rich, the marathon itself remains an important backdrop to the day.
The event, now in its third edition, has made headlines as the first cross-country race in Manicaland to earn recognition from the World Athletics Association (WBA).
This achievement has, not only catapulted the marathon into international credibility, but has also brought increased attention, visitors, and fans.
For many attendees, it is not just a race it is a full weekend experience. A beautiful valley, a celebrated marathon, and a musical explosion all merging into one unforgettable cultural festival.
Valley Lodge Leisure Centre proprietor, and one of the organisers, Maggie Mwadiwa said preparations are at an advanced stage, and excitement is building rapidly.
“Honde Valley is ready to welcome the nation. This event showcases our tourism, our talent, and our community spirit. It is more than a marathon. It will be an experience that will bring people together to enjoy the beauty and energy of this place.
“All is in place, and we are assuring all those who will be in attendance that we are ready to host the event. There are no security and rains fears as we have put in place some systems to ensure that everything will be flawless. The place is ever ready to host the event, and we are excited that this is the first time we have had an entertainment event of such magnitude,” she said.
When the lights come on, and the first artiste steps onto the stage, Honde Valley will transform from a tranquil natural retreat into an entertainment powerhouse as the after party is expected to start at 7pm till the last man drops.
