Health coalition launched

founded by Mrs Renee Mucherahowa with the technical support of the Ministry of Health and Child Welfare and the World Health Organisation would strive to open the health care sector to grassroots participation across the country.

“The coalition aims to bridge the gap between civic society and health sector with love and respect. As organizations we must combine our efforts to engage and enhance community participation in the delivery of health in all provinces,” said Mrs Mucherahowa.

She said the coalition started operating informally two years ago and now has over 200 civic and community-based groups from all the country’s provinces.

Former Deputy Minister of Health and Child Welfare, Tsungirai Hungwe, said hard work was needed to make the coalition a success.
