The Health Professions Authority (HPA) Zimbabwe has set March 31, 2025, as the deadline for all public and private health institutions to renew their operating licences as mandated by Section 104 of the Health Professions Act (Chapter 27:19).

This follows the expiration of registration certificates on December 31, 2024.

According to a statement issued by the Authority today, non-compliant institutions will be penalised or shut down.

“All health institutions must ensure their licences are renewed by the stipulated date to avoid disruptions in their operations,” the Authority said.

Practitioners were also reminded to provide a valid Tax Clearance Certificate as part of the renewal process, in line with Public Notice 92 of 2024 that was issued by the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority on December 5, 2024.

To streamline the process, the Authority said it had introduced an online renewal and payment system.

“We encourage all institutions to utilise our online portal for a seamless renewal experience,” the statement said.
