YADAH FC executive member Spencer Muvadi has been fined US$4,000 for assaulting club goalkeeper Goodknows Gurure.
The club was not spared either after they were hit by a US$5 000 fine.
The incident happened on August 22 this year soon after the match between Yadah and Ngezi Platinum played at the Heart Stadium.
Muvadi was found guilty by a Premier Soccer League disciplinary committee that was set recently.
“Mr Muvadi was found guilty of breaching the PSL Rules and Regulations and the Committee has imposed a fine of US$4000 together with costs of the hearing,” read a press release from PSL’s communications and media officer, Kudzai Bare.
Muvadi has been banned another 12 months from football business involvement.
“In addition, Muvadi has been banned for a period of one year from conducting football business for Yadah or any other club participating in the Premier Soccer League, including holding any official position. He was further barred from attending any matches under the jurisdiction of the Premier Soccer League for the same period,” read the statement.
About the club, the PSL spokesperson said: “Yadah FC were also found guilty of contravening the PSL Rules and Regulations and were fined a sum of US$5,000 together with the costs of the hearing, which must be paid within 15 days from the date of judgment,” said PSL.
The League reiterated its commitment to upholding discipline, protecting the integrity of the game and promoting a safe and professional environment for all participants.
