THEY say hell hath no fury like angry women and, right now, Blessing Manyange is enemy NUMBER ONE among the fairer sex.
He has even locked his Facebook page, probably to limit the abuse that he can receive online, from a raging army of women unhappy with his actions.
Manyange transformed himself into a figure of hate, among women, after he sold a Honda Fit, which he was given by his girlfriend, Charity Madare, to raise lobola to marry his girlfriend, only identified as Petronella.
Petronella is now Blessing’s wife.
Charity has been left to scramble to recover her car and struck a deal with Blessing’s father, who is a priest, to pay her the value of the vehicle she lost.
The story was exclusively revealed in H-Metro.
It has been our biggest trending story for some time and has evoked strong emotions throughout the country with the reaction seemingly divided along gender lines.
Virtually all the male respondents online have remained supportive of Blessing despite clear signals that he did not only break the heart of a girlfriend who appeared to fully back him but betrayed her by selling her property.
Almost all the women who have been responding remain very supportive of Charity.
However, the tone of the responses appear to have been darkening, with each passing day.
“Maybe, it’s because it’s social media, where some are responding, and people can say anything on those platforms,” said one analyst who spoke to H-Metro, after he was asked to look at the fiery feedback.
“I can understand the anger among women, they feel this is another typical case of men abusing them, and they have a point, to some extent.
“This can evoke strong emotions and this is what we are seeing right now.”
Here are some of the fiery feedback messages from women:
