Henrietta Rushwaya drags ZIFA to Labour Court

Rushwaya was fired on Tuesday after a Zifa disciplinary tribunal found her guilty of mismanagement and insubordination.
But the fired chief executive has — through her lawyers — been challenging the legality of the disciplinary committee led by Labour Court judge Custom Kachambwa.

The other members were lawyer Vimbai Nyemba and independent arbitrator George Nasho Wilson.
Rushwaya then took her case to the Ministry of Labour. But after a brief conciliatory meeting between the two parties and before a labour officer, Rushwaya’s lawyer Selby Hwacha emerged to reveal that the matter had been postponed to today at 2pm.

Hwacha said they had consented to the request by Zifa through their lawyer Ralph Maganga to postpone the hearing.
