HERE ARE YOUR FIRST OPPONENTS SUPER MARIO

NEW Warriors coach Marian “Mario” Marinica now knows the quality of the Algerian side he will face in a friendly international in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, next week.

Mario was this week named the new Warriors coach on a 12-month contract.

His Algerian counterpart, Vladimir Petkovic, yesterday named a 27-man squad for the match against the Warriors.

The Fennecs will play two friendly matches against Zimbabwe and Saudi Arabia this month.

These two fixtures will serve as a full-scale test just weeks ahead of the AFCON kick-off.

After securing their ticket to the 2026 World Cup, Petkovic is already setting his sights on the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.

To put his men in the best possible conditions, the national coach has chosen to relocate the November training camp to Saudi Arabia – a strategic decision aimed at helping the Fennecs acclimatise to a demanding and competitive environment.
