HERENTALS Group of Colleges will hold a four-team Zimbabwe Defence Forces solidarity football tournament at National Sports this morning.
The tournament, sponsored to the turn of $5 000, will see Cranborne Bullets and Blue Swallows as well as Herentals and police outfit ZRP FC, taking to the field from the semi-finals from 8am. Herentals team manager Oliver Chirenga said the tournament is coming as an acknowledgement of the turnaround which happened in the country recently.
“As patriotic Zimbabweans Herentals CEO Innocent ‘IB9’ Benza saw it fit to offer something for the good work done by the Defence Forces.” Meanwhile Harare Province Division 2A and 2B vice-chairman Robert Tembo has hailed the champion of champions soccer tournament they hosted for the two teams which gained promotion into Division One.
The regions work as feeder to the ZIFA Northern Region Division One and this year they had Herentals Academy and Beta Bricks.
