Herentals Queens to face fine for breaching rules and regulations

THE Zimbabwe Women’s Premier Soccer League (ZWPSL) disciplinary committee has announced that Herentals Queens will face a fine of US$750 for failing to provide a suitable ground for their match against Kwekwe Queens, which was abandoned after Kwekwe Queens refused to play on a sub-standard pitch.

After a thorough investigation, the committee found Herentals Queens in breach of the following articles:
1. Article 2.4 and 2.4.1: The home team failed to stop activities on two grounds they had designated, resulting in a fine of US$500.
2. Article 2.4.3.1: The home team failed to secure a suitable venue for the match on time, resulting in a fine of US$200.
3. Article 12.3: The home team failed to confirm the match on time, resulting in a fine of US$50.

“The fine must be paid within 14 days in accordance with section 5.2 of the ZWPSL rules and regulations.

Additionally, the match between Kwekwe Queens and Herentals Queens will be replayed at a suitable venue scheduled for 28 May 2025.

All expenses, including those of Kwekwe Queens, are to be met by Herentals Queens,” reads the statement.
