The curtain has officially come down on Sakhile Dube’s reign as Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2024, and the gracious queen has handed over the baton to her successor, Lyshanda Moyas, who was crowned at a glittering pageant held in Harare over the weekend.

Taking to her Instagram page, Dube reflected on her journey and expressed gratitude for the support she received throughout her reign.
“17-05-25 marked the unforgettable end of my journey as Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2024. It has been an honour to serve, inspire, and connect with amazing individuals along the way,” she wrote.

“I am grateful for the love and support that carried me through this incredible chapter. Congratulations to the new queen, Lyshanda Moyas. Here’s to new beginnings and a future filled with promise.”

Dube also extended heartfelt thanks to the Miss Universe Zimbabwe organisers for giving her what she described as a life-changing opportunity. She expressed particular appreciation for her trusted fashion designer, Zarguesia, who crafted many of the elegant outfits that defined her style on both local and international runways.

As one chapter closes, another opens, with newly crowned queen Lyshanda Moyas already making bold moves on the international front. Barely a week into her reign, Moyas has jetted off to the United Kingdom, where she is scheduled to meet with renowned fashion and image consultants. She will also participate in an exclusive beauty pageant masterclass, a crucial step in grooming her for the global Miss Universe platform.

Blending business with pleasure, Moyas is also expected to show her support for Zimbabwean sport by attending the historic one-off Test cricket match between Zimbabwe and England at Trent Bridge, starting Thursday.
