ZIFA Northern Region Division One Soccer League table toppers Black Mambas will be expected to continue with their fine form when they face Herentals Under-20 in a tough encounter.
Mambas are only two games away from clinching their first title in over a decade since they were demoted from the top flight.
Black Mambas have some tricky encounters on paper as compared to Chegutu Pirates, who are in second place.
The police outfit will have three away games and one game at home in their remaining four fixtures as they seek to win promotion.
John “Toto” Ncube conceded the remaining matches are tough.
“We are ready. These are the kind of games, which we can use to measure ourselves as we march towards Premiership promotion.
“There will be tough games and we will take each game as it comes,” said Ncube.
“Warumwa Warumwa” did themselves a huge favour by defeating Commando Bullets 1-0 while their opponents the Young Students were restricted to a 2-2 draw by Omnia.
Innocent Nyoni, the Black Mambas assistant coach, added that they will hold their nerves and continue to march on until the end of the season.
“We know that at the moment, the focus is on Black Mambas and every team wants to beat us. We are marching forward without pressure. We are focusing on each game like we are playing a cup final. I am glad that our players have stood their ground against all our opponents. The players have been encouraging each other in so many dimensions to withstand pressure,” added Nyoni.
