Hero Chaza burial today

Cde Munenerwa will be buried today at the Provincial Heroes Acre at Warren Hills at 11am.

Family spokesperson, Mr Tororiro Chaza, last night said: “There will be a church service at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Old Highfield at 8.30 am.
“We will then proceed to the provincial heroes acre at Warren Hills cemetery for burial at 11am.”

Cde Munenerwa Chaza died on Saturday at Beatrice Road Infectious Diseases Hospital in Harare. He was born on May 14, 1956. Cde Munenerwa left for Mozambique in March 1975 as part of the 155 cadres that included the late Gaylord Mao and Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to Botswana Cde Thomas Mandigora and Cde Noble Mutsambiwa. In 1979, Cde Chaza was sent to Bucharest in Romania for training in Diplomacy and International Relations. He returned to Zimbabwe at independence and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before moving to ZBC as sub editor.
