He’s been raping her since she was 7

A FATHER is fighting tooth and nail to see the stepdad rot in jail. This is after his 14-year-old daughter was raped by her 83-year-old stepdad.

When she told her mother that her stepfather had been raping her, the mum said she was lying. Instead of supporting her, the biological father of the girl said her mum and the rapist’s daughter (stepdaughter) devised a plan to get rid of his daughter. The mother, stepdaughter and stepdad were bust in April by Dunnottar police in South Africa.

“The mother and the stepdaughter were out on bail when they threatened my daughter and their bail was revoked and they are back inside for breaching the bail conditions,” said the devastated dad.

The mother, stepdaughter and stepdad appeared in the South Africa Nigel Magistrates Court on 12 June and the case was postponed to 10 July.

“I just want justice for my daughter. Her mum could have been protecting her, but she chose to side with her partner. What kind of mother is that?” he said.

The dad from Duduza in Ekurhuleni, South Africa claimed that the stepfather started raping his daughter when she was seven.

“She has been afraid to speak as this man promised to harm her,” said the dad. The girl’s father said the stepdad was the second perpetrator to rape her daughter, adding that also this year, a man in his 30s raped his daughter and he was caught.

The father said he was so angry and with the help of the community, the suspect was beaten. The suspect later opened the case against him and his friend.

“We were arrested and I’m still undergoing the trial. I sometimes find our courts protecting the suspects more than the victims. Now I’m out on R3 000 bail trying to protect my child from being raped. It’s sad. I’m not okay,” he said.
He’s still undergoing trial in the Nigel Magistrates Court. The rape case is being handled by the Springs Police FCS.

Sergeant Maxwell Mabunda, the acting spokesman for Ekurhuleni District Police, confirmed a case of rape was open against the stepdad and that of assault against the biological dad at Dunnottar and Duduza respectively. (Source: www.snl24.com)
