chord and are confident of beating ailing Cossy Rules to maintain their climb up the ladder.
Highfield have over the last few weeks moved from the bottom of the table into seventh, thanks to a good run of form in which they have won their last four matches.
It is in stark contrast to the manner in which they started the season when losing their opening four matches and drawing the next three.
Although they still trail log leaders La Liga by 11 points, Highfield, who now have 17 points, are fancying their chances of continuing to climb up the ladder.
Tomorrow they travel to Rimuka for a date with Cossy Rules hoping to add to the bottom-placed Kadoma side’s woes.
Highfield technical manager Wilson Mutekede said he was confident his team would produce a positive result again.
“We started the season slowly which is normal given the circumstances which the players were in by that time.
“The youngsters have settled and the results are beginning to come at the right time of the season.
“We are going to fight to the wire, championship is a marathon and anything can happen.
“We are treating the game against Cossy as any other game, we don’t want to read much about their position on the log, we will play our normal game and fight to get positive results.
“The team is playing well and we want to carry on from where we left last week,” said Mutekede.
Highfield will bank on the exploits of Richard Mteki, Clive Mwale, captain Isaac Madziva and Munyaradzi Muchenje to lead their charge.
In the capital log leaders La Liga will host Eiffel Flats at Hellenic Sports Club on Sunday hoping to maintain their grip on pole position.
Naison Muchekela’s men are the only team yet to taste defeat in the league and they also boast of the best defence having conceded only four goals in 12 matches.
But the bankers are aware that resurgent Mwana Africa are lurking close by in second place which means La Liga cannot afford to lose.
Mwana Africa visit unpredictable Dstv at Old Hararians Sports Club tomorrow.
Martin Mine, Raphael Manuwire and ageless midfielder Alisara Kondowe will be expected to do business for Mwana Africa.
