HILLARY Makaya has gone on the defensive but speculation is growing that her marriage to businessman Andrew Manongore might be on the rocks.
Others are saying this could be the beginning of the end of their union.
The intense focus on this high-profile union comes at a time when Hillary has been spreading her global network and has been in the company of such global celebrities like Nigerian superstar musician Davido and American actor Nick Cannon and music star Rick Ross.
Those images have been splashed all over social media as if to send the message that Hillary now plays in a different league and her profile has exploded.
She is now being accepted in such A-List company. Social media is awash with news that the couple is no longer together.
Some have noted that, in some of the photographs, Hillary doesn’t appear to be wearing a wedding ring.
Inevitably, this has fed the speculation that there is trouble in paradise.
Hillary has defended herself.

She posted on her Instagram, sarcastically remarking that if life was that simple, where it is easy for everyone to find themselves in the company of such very influential global superstars, then every woman would be hanging around with such stars.She wrote:
“Shallow-minded people don’t understand networking, your feeble mind will have you hating on great inspiration.
“Tell me a girl doing better than me in our nation and please do not mention grannies.
“Be inspired, do not hate. Been winning all year…So blessed kani.”
She did not respond to allegations that her marriage was either collapsing or had collapsed.
Manongore was not reachable for comment.
Reports have claimed the businessman paid US$40 000 as lobola for the socialite before buying her a house and a luxury car.
Pictures showed a bunch of crisp US$100 notes on a plate and they were captioned “40k USD cash on (lobola).
