AWARD-WINNING music promoter, Partson “Chipaz” Chimbodza, is set to host a potentially explosive show dubbed “Face off Hiphop and Amapiano Fest” on September 3 at Long Cheng Plaza.
Artists to perform on the day include Voltz JT, Stunner, Ti Gonz, Leo Magozz, HolyTen and Saint Floew.
In an interview with Ti Gonz, he said:
“It feels so great to know that the real promoters still recognise me as one of, if not the best, people’s champ when it comes to ZimHipHop,” he said.
Ti Gonz has assured fans of a vintage performance at the gig.
“I am going to be moving crowds as always.
“I am very energetic and entertaining,” he said.
Asked how he felt to be sharing the stage with other fellow Zim Hiphop artists, he said:
“I know you are aware of the role I played for Zim Hiphop to be an acceptable genre in the country.
“Voltz Jt and Saintfloew are products of the game taking Hiphop to greater heights.
“So, us being together in one show, will fulfill the dreams I have always had for Zim Hiphop, starting to show everyone that Hip Hop is now the dominant genre in the country.
“I believe in them.”
Ti Gonz encouraged other artists, who are billed to perform on the day, to enjoy it for the sake of their fans.
“The more we compete the more we will fascinate the fans, let us do it and enjoy.
“However, let us not forget that united we stand, divided we fall,” he told H-Metro.
He believes that such competitions, like the Face off Hiphop and Amapiano Fest, can help make people appreciate different genres.
“This competition will surely help.
“Hip hop is a culture and that is part of the culture.
“Competing together, teaming up is what the nation has always been waiting for,” said Ti Gonz.
