VILLAGERS in Seke communal lands have been urged to uphold traditional values, and respect the sanctity of life.
The call was made by Zim dancehall musician, Seh Calaz, who honoured his manager, Preston Maporisa’s mother, Otilia Tekedza, on her 75th birthday celebrations, in Mushangwe Village.

Seh Calaz, real name Tawanda Mumanyi, sent this message across to guests before taking them down memory lane with his song “Kwatinobva Kwakasiyana” to cement the call.
“We are counted among the living because of our parents and guardians,” he said.
“They valued our life and never thought of abortion or baby dumping to become who we are today.

“Let us uphold our traditional values by continuously engaging the elderly for guidance and, today I am here in Seke, to tap from Gogo Otilia,” he said, before performing.
Seh Calaz took time with Gogo Otilia as he sought some advice. Maporisa hailed traditional leaders, and villagers, for gracing Gogo Otilia’s birthday celebrations.
Seh Calaz and Mathias Mhere thrilled villagers with their performances and gave them an opportunity to pose for some selfies.
Mhere urged villagers to put their faith in God and continue valuing traditional foods.
“It is our prayer to see our grandchildren and today we are celebrating life of Gogo Otilia.
“Kurarama makore akawanda rave goridhe, tinosvishuvira asi tikaisa upenyu hwedu kuna Mwari nekuramba tichidya kudya kwatakarerwa nako tinosvika,” said Mhere.
Gogo Otilia showed guests her dancing antics.
